| And life is good. | | |
| Well kids, I'm back in Ithaca, NY, finishing up my last week of my summer internship, and then school starts the next week. I won't be home to Jersey until Thanksgiving methinks, so I'll see ya when I see ya.
Holy shit I'm a junior in college >_<
Best of luck to all of you out there in the upcoming academic year. Kick ass!

| HaH, I didn't even expect to get two comments, hah.
I'm not deleting this site ... I'll give monthly updates at least, haha.
Good things:
-I got a promotion at work to do crazy research, like all the time, whee!
-Corey, Oliver, and I are living in an apartment this upcoming school year. Screw the dorms!
-My parents are coming up this weekend to visit me, yay!
-I'm going to a Rennaisance (sp?) Faire this Sunday, dressed as a ranger!
-I'll be home in less than two weeks! And get to see DCI then too, with my CU crew!
-Things seems to be working out for me, all of a sudden, and hopefully will stay that way, and I've never been happier

| This thing is pretty much dead. If you want to know how I'm doing or what's up, just give me a call.
But things are great right now, in case you were wondering.

| So Corey's coming up this weekend
And work's going amazingly well recently. I got assigned my own little
project, which ends tomorrow, and everything is going just as I wanted!
My caterpillars are growing lovingly, except for the ones that are supposed to be sickly, but yay wanted results
At a few points this week, though, I've had to look for things to do in
the lab since 3 out of 9 people in the lab are out for vacation, and
two leave during the day, so I'm by my lonesome for a lot of the
afternoons. Instead of being lazy, I decided to advertise myself on our
whiteboard, and apparently my boss never let the people in our lab know
that I have history in Molecular Bio/Genetic research, so a bunch of
doors have been opened, and today I got to amplify DNA by doing PCR
(Polymerase Chain Reaction), and tomorrow I get to run gels, do
electrophoresis, and extract DNA, w007! I miss my mol. bio stuff. So I
get to play with bugs, experiment with them, do genetics, and the gene
amplification stuff is for nicotene receptors in ion channels in flies
... so that combines every single aspect of biology that fascinates me,
in one lab! It's a-friggin-mazing. I love my job! !!!
I've also recently been thinking that maybe I'll do graduate school
instead of med. school, and just get my PhD in something that combines
all likes, as well as having a medical application for research
purposes. Who knows. I think the make or break point will be when I
work in a medical setting. I'm hoping to do a 'shadow a doctor' program
this upcoming winter break, so we'll see.
Life is good. Very good. And if things turn out for the best, I'll be
living in an apartment this upcoming academic year, instead of fearing
2 to 3 additional roommates in Oliver and my double room, because
Cornell is retarded and overenrolled 450 more students than it can
hold. =_=
Well, I'm off to make rice pudding, whoosh!
